"The photos do not do Maison Bishop any justice. We were looking for character and space and we got this and more....way more! Fantastic with the traditional French part and the new modern upstairs. We've shown photos of our trip to friends already who are looking at booking for next year! Mum from NZ is also looking to return! Our 4 year old son wanted to take the swimming pool home! The only way you'll get to experience this is to book! Thank you to the Bishop's for providing us with great memories of France".

Many many thanks for letting us share in your lovely home Maison Bishop as you know we drove down and only stayed for one week perhaps not long enough after the long drive but well worth it.Your instructions were better than any TomTom thank you so much. We are used to the peace and quiet but this beat Wales by far. We had fantastic weather peaking at just over 40 degrees the pool was well used. We just wanted a week to chill as a family and enjoyed short drives in the countryside the pretty town of Bergerac and the evening market in Eymet. The fields of sunflowers were breathtaking. We enjoyed the simple pleasures and mostly cooked for ourselves the barbecue used everyday. The joys of the Boulangerie was a daily trip for our bread and cakes. Not forgetting the odd tipple of wine spoilt for choice and some very palatable at £1.20 a bottle.
I was very impressed with the standard of accommodation and is the best that I have rented so far the bathrooms were immaculate and bedrooms perfect the quality of the towels and bed linen were such a pleasant surprise as I often feel this is an area often neglected. It did feel a home from home. A great size living room to cater for large groups and late evenings spent playing chess.
You ask what could be improved I don't want to be picky as none of this would reflect on my decision to rent again but perhaps the kitchen and dining room need a little updating to match the standards upstairs. The information pack at the house was useful and full of ideas the only problem we had was with the refuse collection we put it out but was not collected we left on a bank holiday perhaps collection times has changed.
I would highly recommend your house and this area of France. Would be great for two families wishing to holiday together with the separate barn and I am considering getting my sister over from Canada and meeting in France
Please by way of thank you feel free to issue my email to anyone wanting information and recommendation
Thanking you kind regards

Hi Chris
Just wanted to let you know that we all had a wonderful time at your place in France. The house is lovely and it was so nice to see all the personal touches. It felt like a real family home.
The boys enjoyed the toy basket, chess table and the dvd room very much. We even had one of them riding around the area on a bike and the barbie pink helmet !
I do appologise for the washing machine, it was my fault and I hope it didn't cause you too much work to get Giles to fix it. Maybe you could have some instructions in bold writing put onto the wall behind just in case another numpty stays.
Once again thank you for a lovely place to holiday and relax.

To Whom It May Concern:
We stayed at Maison Bishop in July/August 2008 - we were a family of four with two young children accompanied by grandparents. The accommodation was spacious and well suited to a family holiday. It was maintained to a high standard and was a family house. The garden was secure and the swimming pool clean and large enough to swim in. The surrounding village and roads were fairly flat and very quiet and were ideal for our young children to cycle on with us walking. A car is essential. The local village was small with a shop selling very basis items.
There were numerous restaurants in the area although none within walking distance all serving very high quality gourmet food. The nearby town had a well stocked market and was within 10 minutes drive.
There was plenty to do, although a car was required, and the house was in the 'Route de Vin'.
We would definitely recommend the house to others and would return there ourselves for another holiday.
If you have any further specific questions please do not hesitate to email us.
